What Is the Inframammary Breast Augmentation Technique?

When Dr. Van Wyck performs breast augmentation using the inframammary technique, he begins by making a horizontal incision directly beneath the breast, along the natural fold that occurs where the breast meets the skin of the chest. He then creates a pocket through this incision. The breast implant will be inserted in this pocket.

Because there is a natural crease in this fold, any scarring tends to blend in and be fairly inconspicuous.

What Are The Benefits and Risks of the Inframammary Technique?

The benefits of the inframammary incision technique are many, including:
