Cleansing and Texture

Skin care objectives can be broken down into various components. The initial stages of improving skin texture is best achieved through an exfoliation process which removes the old damaged skin. This results in the newer healthier skin coming to the surface.

The exfoliation process is achieved through the use of proper skin care products (which often includes the use of Retin A or Tazorac) and/or a series of microdermabrasion procedures. Cleansing of both oily and sensitive skin is also important and for this specific treatment plans will be discussed. Next to skin texture problems areas of discoloration (hyperpigmentation) are usually addressed and treated with hydroquinone in combination with light therapy.

Our office has a battery of available products which will be reviewed with you at the time of your skin care consultation. It is very important that you take the time and energy to review your various options regarding your particular skin care product needs.
