One of the most important decisions you will make

Dr. Van Wyck then went on to complete a registered
specialty Fellowship at
Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto under Dr J. Gruss as well as at the Mayo Clinic
in Rochester, Minnesota under the direction of Dr I. Jackson. During this time he
received a Certificate of Merit for his involvement in research publications.
He became a Plastic Surgeon in 1988 as a qualified member of the Royal College

Since his appointment in 1988, as an Assistant Professor at
the University of
Ottawa and previous Acting Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Civic Hospital, his
interests have been directed towards the cosmetic surgery side of his specialty.
This focus demands that he maintain on going educational exposure in the form
of meetings and courses. New advances in the form of laser technology and skin
care management as well as variations in surgical procedures continue to evolve
in his efforts to improve surgical outcomes. Dr. Van Wyck has spent time and
effort incorporating many of these new advances into his own practice. As a
reflection of his efforts in maintaining his level of standards, he was both
previledged and honoured this past year to have received the Consumers
Choice Award in the Cosmetic Surgery Category.
